Illinois drivers
Safe and sound, back in Madison. Seriously, who taught Illinois how to drive? I mean, up here no one uses their turn signal, but at least they don’t combine that with an apparent desire to pass everyone on the right, not the left. Passing on the right is unnatural to me. Maybe in Connecticut we are just so used to driving in congested traffic at speeds of 70-75, that we handle it better and although there are some individuals that drive like assholes, it isn’t the same as upstate Illinois where 80 percent of the drivers need to go back to driving school. Here’s a tip, right lane slow lane. Middle lane driving lane, left lane passing lane. Do not come up behind me in the driving lane if I am going 70-75 and if there is no one in the left lane, swerve around me to the right without using your turn signal and pass me on the side.
I have driven all around this country and have decided that the two places with the worst drivers are upstate Illinois and midstate California from the Sierras all the way to San Francisco. This is a big decision. While living in Connecticut I was sure it was Connecticut drivers and to a more extreme extent Massholes. Take some defensive driving courses people. It could save your life and, this seems more important to some people, save you some cash on your car insurance…if you have car insurance.
