Firefly RPG

I have given up on transcribing my Montana adventures to my blog. A good time was had by all. That is all one needs to know. And honestly, one doesn’t even really need to know that. I did want to mention that my friend Dan has developed a Role Playing Game based on the short-lived television series Firefly. He wanted to test it out while we were there and we did to great success. It was the first time I had done any role-playing since high school and I had a great time. I would love to try it out again here in Madison, but I am afraid I would have to be the GM and I am not a big fan of running campaigns. Dan’s version of Firefly is offered for free to anyone who wants to check it out by clicking right now! It’s a good system, based on D&D, Chuthulu and Star Wars systems. Lots of fun to play. I want to try and sit down and try to write out the story line of the campaign that we played. It was pretty insane, but I have never been one to write fan fic, maybe I could start…although none of the characters from the TV show were in the game, so I don’t know if anyone would be interested. I played a mechanic that was way too in love with ship engines. In other Firefly news, I’m happy to report that I just read a report about a report from a guy who heard a report that they just wrapped up shooting on the movie Firefly: Serenity. Apparently they plan on releasing this right before Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith, hits the screen.

“Kaylee, what the hell’s going on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?”
