Let me say first thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I am the writer of Caffeinated Politics. On Wednesday afternoon a friend sent me the 'answering machine' joke in an email. It was not soureced, but it made me laugh. As such I used it. Several folks have since alerted me to the source, and the update at the top of the post now supplies the link to where the joke was first published. I do not think something like this has ever happended on my blog before, and since I try to have a credible blog, I take this matter very seriously.

Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.
